Kit Straight razor Boker Classic RP 5/8 Shave ready, Sharpening stone and Spanner strop
We are pleased to present this starter kit for anyone who wants to approach the wonderful world of the straight razor.
Very often, the user who wants to try to shave with a straight razor, finds himself in the condition of not knowing what to use and is frightened by all the work of sharpening and maintaining his razor.
Our idea is to provide a simple and essential starter kit with a choice of two different razor variants.A kit with a Boker 5/8 Spanish point razor and a kit with a Boker 5/8 Round point razor. In both kits the razor is “shave ready”, prepared and sharpened by our team.
Why did we choose to give the customer a shave ready razor?
We did it because in this way, whoever buys this kit only has to “open the razor package” and shave, without worries and without problems!
Now let me tell you about the KIT:
Straight razor: Boker’s high quality product line is complemented by the Classic models. These entry-level models bridge the gap between very affordable prices and the very high standards of quality that cannot be lowered, thus creating the Straight Razors line with exceptional value for money. Blade of this razor is in stainless steel. The razor is prepared and sharpened by our team using a Japanese and nagura stone of different grit.
Spanner strop: We have chosen for this kit a Boker frame shank, called spanner strop. Simple, small and functional which allows the user to keep the razor always ready to use. The movements of the razor should be light, without pressing with too much energy, to avoid damaging the razor’s edge. We recommend loosening the tension after each use.
Sharpening stone grit 10000: For this kit the choice could only be a beautiful black slate stone produced in Liguria (Italy). A stone of significant size that allows you to maintain the edge of the razor with ease and without too many problems. This is a “slow stone” suitable for those who begin to want to keep their razor sharp on a stone. Allow the stone to soak for 10 to 15 minutes before use.
